Particular attention was drawn to a piece by Donata Wenders, an acclaimed photographer and Wenders’ long-time collaborator. The photograph was taken during the production of the film The Million Dollar Hotel in New York and is part of the collection of Italian art collector Lucia Pianto, one of the founders of CKA Charlama. The image features actress Milla Jovovich, while the film’s story was written by musician Bono.

CKA Charlama has established itself as an internationally recognized contemporary art platform, featured in leading global media such as The New York Times, Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica and Artforum.

Over the past years, Charlama has presented works by more than 200 artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, while preparations are currently underway for the next edition of the contemporary art biennial SubDokumenta Sarajevo.

Following the visit, Wenders expressed interest in potential future collaboration with the Charlama team, opening the door to new international projects.
