The documentary “The Last YU Dokumenta”, a story about the largest exhibition of contemporary visual art in the former Yugoslavia, held at Sarajevo’s Skenderija Center, will have its world premiere at the 71st March Festival Belgrade.

Written and directed by Jasmin Duraković, the film will be screened within the REGIONAL PANORAMA programme on March 27 at 9:30 PM, in the Grand Hall of the Dom omladine Beograda.

The film “The Last YU Dokumenta” (Bosnia and Herzegovina / 2024 / 79’) revisits this major cultural event through a contemporary lens, following two artists — Jusuf Hadžifejzović and Aleksandar Saša Bukvić — who initiated the now almost forgotten Sarajevo exhibition “YU Dokumenta”.

Through their story and journeys to Belgrade and Zagreb, the film takes us back to the time of the former Yugoslav state.

The film is produced by DEPO / CKA Charlama. Angelina Albijanić Duraković and Jasmin Duraković
